Troy Hester Design Branding

My goal was to create a distinct and coherent identity system that accurately and professionally represents myself and my design style while also setting the brand apart from others. Pieces of the brand include the logo, brand style guide, portfolio, website, business cards, stickers, pocket books, letterhead, and resume.

The well-balanced logo gracefully holds the eye's gaze without becoming cumbersome or confusing.

The font was thoughtfully selected because it reads as professional and timeless, but not too sterile as some sans serifs can become. I think it all comes down to the beautiful curves of the lowercase ‘t’ and ’g’ and the tall lowercase ’i’ with the round, distinct dot.

The bold Pantone U21 orange combined with the eggshell Mohawk Superfine paper give the brand a greater personality.

Paper selection and consistency can be such a useful tool for adding depth and value to a brand in a tactile way. On the other hand, they can detract from the brand if carelessly selected.
